The recognizable sounds of rock and blues are immediately noticed when talking about Zealous Grooves. Undertones of folk, funk, punk and R&B are mixed within the assortment of tunes that they produce. Love, appreciation, and understanding of the music has always been the catalyst of the foundation of the group. Love and passion of the music is breathed through the lungs of Zealous Grooves.
Power Trio
Zealous Grooves was born in the capital city of New Mexico and honed their musical prowess in the downtown clubs of Albuquerque, NM. Currently the band is making a resurgence as their drummer, Kent, sadly passed. After grieving their loss, Shanahan and Trate have made it through the tough process and have been working on new songs while looking to fill the void that Kent had left. Music has the power to help heal the soul and make the future bright.
Looking to the Future
First, thank you to our brother Kent Sidlow. We miss your beats and your cynical sense of humor, we are humbled to be able to take this ride with you though it was to be your last. Zealous Grooves is now in the process of writing their 4th record and booking shows for the 2025 summer in and around New Mexico.
